ABSTRACT - Orthopaedic equipment - The brace is characterised by the fact that: - the telescopic components (7, 8), are made of an X-ray transparent material and form two transverse plates (9 and 10) at their opposite ends; - the locking device (11) is composed of a slide (12) working in conjunction with two chucks (13 and 14) fitted to the periphery of the plates; - the position-adjusting devices, for each flange, are made up of three threaded rods (40), angularly equidistant, individually adjustable as to length and mounted in the corresponding plate by means of three ball and socket joints. - Application to the reduction of long-bone fractures.
