To effect selective extraction and insertion of wavelength multiplexed channels (El, Eq, Ep), without interjecting active elements in the main transmission path, the device comprises extraction and insertion modules (Mlk, Mqk, Mpk), each comprising a rejection filter (Flk, Fqk, Fpk) with two opposed ports. An optical switch (K) with an extraction output (S) comprises extraction inputs (Qpk, Qpj) and insertion outputs (Tpk, Tqk) associated with the modules and coupled respectively to the opposed ports of the filters (Flk, Fqk, Fpk). For each module (Mpk), the switch (K) is designed to couple selectively one of its extraction inputs (Qpk) to one of its insertion outputs (Tpk) and/or to the extraction output (S). Applications in optical transmission, including routing.

Pour effectuer l'extraction et l'insertion sélectives de canaux de multiplex de longueurs d'onde (El, Eq, Ep), sans interposer des éléments actifs dans le chemin principal de transmission, le dispositif comporte des modules d'extraction et d'insertion (Mlk, Mqk, Mpk), comportant chacun un filtre réjecteur (Flk, Fqk, Fpk) à deux ports opposés. Un commutateur optique (K) muni d'une sortie d'extraction (S) comporte des entrées d'extraction (Qpk, Qpj) et des sorties d'insertion (Tpk, Tqk) associées aux modules et couplées respectivement aux ports opposés des filtres (Flk, Fqk, Fpk). Pour chaque module (Mpk), le commutateur (K) est prévu pour coupler sélectivement une de ses entrées d'extraction (Qpk) à une de ses sorties d'insertion (Tpk) et/ou à la sortie d'extraction (S). Application aux transmissions optiques, notamment pour réaliser des opérations de routage.
