EXTRACTION OF NOBLE METALS WITH THIOUREA ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE Noble metals (e.g., gold and/or silver) are recovered form ore with an extraction solution containing thiourea. An alkali metal or ammonium bisulfate is used to maintain an acidic pH without the addition of sulfuric acid. The thiourea extraction solution can be rejuvenated and recycled.
