ABSTRACT A method of extracting uranium from its ores, by mixing the ground ore with sulphuric acid to give a moist ore containing a sulphuric acid concentration of less than 4N, without forming a continuous liquid phase, and curing the moist ore at 50° to 100°C while passing an oxidising gas through it.
