Novel window and patio doorframe members are formed by an extrusion process that provide these members with at least one channel and with an outer weather resistant surface and an internal imitation wood surface together with integrated sealing strips formed in the channels for the doors, these components being fully integrated. The process is carried out by extruding a foamed profile with a channel through a first die therein having reduced dimensions where a protective shell is desired, co-extruding a plastic with said foamed profile in a second die to form a protective shell where the reduced dimensions occur, passing the co-extrusion through a calibration die, and then heating the co-extrusion at selected location where weather stripping is desired and then passing the co-extrusion through a final die where plastic weather stripping is extruded therewith and then cooling the integrated member.
Il s'agit de nouveaux éléments de fenêtre et de cadre de porte de patio formés par extrusion. Ces éléments présentent ainsi au moins une rainure et une surface extérieure résistant aux intempéries, ainsi qu'une surface interne de faux bois, avec des bandes d'étanchéité intégrées formées dans les rainures pour les portes, ces éléments étant complètement intégrés. Le procédé est exécuté en extrudant un profilé mousse avec une rainure au moyen d'une première filière de dimensions réduites où une enveloppe protectrice est voulue; en coextrudant une matière plastique avec ledit profilé mousse dans une seconde filière, pour former une enveloppe protectrice où les dimensions réduites se présentent; en faisant passer le produit coextrudé à travers une filière d'étalonnage; puis en chauffant le produit coextrudé à l'emplacement sélectionné où le coupe-bise est désiré, puis en faisant passer le produit coextrudé à travers une filière finale où le coupe-bise en plastique est extrudé, puis en refroidissant l'élément intégré.
