The invention provides an extrusion material supply device suitable for use in melt extrusion molding, and a method for manufacturing an optical transmission body, in which a deterioration of an optical signal transmission loss is extremely small, and productivity intrinsic to an extrusion molding method is provided in combination. An extrusion material supply device 1 includes: a vertical hopper 2, which has a cooling unit 3 and a heat melting unit 4 continuous with a lower portion thereof, and houses a material rod R; cooling means 5 for cooling the cooling unit 3; an electric heater 6 that heats the heat melting unit 4; and gas pressurizing means 7 for sequentially supplying molten plastics M to a metal die by a gas pressure. The heat melting unit 4 is formed into a cylinder shape in which an inner diameter is larger than an inner diameter of the cooling unit 3 arranged above, and enables the molten plastics M to spread in the heat melting unit 4. A portion between an outer circumference of the material rod R and an outer circumference of the molten plastics M is defined as an annular gas pressurizing surface 7a.
L'invention porte sur un dispositif d'alimentation de matière première d'extrusion qui est utilisé de façon appropriée dans un moulage par extrusion à l'état fondu, et porte également sur un procédé de production d'un corps de transmission optique, l'augmentation de la perte de transmission d'un signal optique étant très faible et une productivité essentielle au procédé de moulage par extrusion étant assurée. Un dispositif d'alimentation en matière première d'extrusion (1) comprend une trémie verticale (2) qui possède une section de refroidissement (3) et une section de chauffage et de fusion (4) continue au côté inférieur de celle-ci, et reçoit une tige de matériau (R), un moyen de refroidissement (5) pour refroidir la section de refroidissement (3), un dispositif de chauffage électrique (6) qui chauffe la section de chauffage et de fusion (4), et un moyen de pressurisation de gaz (7) pour fournir une matière plastique fondue (M) de manière séquentielle à une filière par la pression gazeuse. La section de chauffage et de fusion (4) est formée sous la forme d'un cylindre présentant un diamètre interne supérieur au diamètre interne de la section de refroidissement (3) située au-dessus, de telle sorte que la matière plastique fondue (M) peut s'étaler dans la section de chauffage et de fusion (4). Une surface de pressurisation de gaz annulaire (7a) est formée entre la périphérie externe de la tige de matériau (R) et la périphérie externe de la matière plastique fondue (M).
