The invention relates to a panel within an eyeglass case that serves a dual purpose namely: to accommodate a storage pocket for storing various eyeglass accessories such as a lens cleaning cloth, lens cleaning kits of wet towelettes, cleaning fluid, monocles, magnifying loupes, folding readers, folding sunglass clip-ons, chains, cords, and eyeglass repair kits; and also to separate the temple arms from the lens frame of the folded eyeglasses thus preventing abrasive damage. The panel with storage pocket can be included in any standard eyeglass case configuration. A conventional eyeglass case protectively encloses a pair of eyeglasses in a folded position where two hinged temple arms are rearwardly folded in overlapping relation on a lens frame. The eyeglass case has a first wall and a second wall, each wall being joined together along at least one wall edge defining an eyeglass enclosing compartment. The panel of the invention projects from at least one wall into the compartment a distance sufficient to separate the lens frame from the folded temple arms. The panel has a storage pocket with an access opening either outside the case or from inside the compartment.
