A fabric article treating device (20) includes an interior dispenser (25) adapted for location inside of a fabric article drying appliance, a controller (60) and a static sensor (75) adapted for sensing static charge inside the fabric article drying appliance. The controller (60) is configured to initiate dispensing of anti-static agent when the static sensor (75) senses a predetermined amount of static charge.
