Polymers which are capable of self-cross-linking and/or of reacting with cellulose can be used in the treatment of fabric comprising cellulosic fibres to enhance the feeling of comfort when a garment comprising the fabric is worn. The enhanced feeling of comfort is due, at least in part, to an increase in the rate of moisture transport through the fabric. The polymers may be used in conjunction with a liquid or soft solid derivative of a cyclic polyol or of a reduced saccharide resulting from 35 to 100% of the hydroxyl groups in the polyol or the saccharide being esterified or etherified.

Selon la présente invention, les polymères qui sont capables de réaliser l'auto-réticulation et/ou la réaction avec du cellulose, peuvent être utilisés pour le traitement de tissu comprenant des fibres cellulosiques afin d'en améliorer le confort lorsque le tissu est porté sous la forme d'un vêtement le comprenant. Le confort est amélioré grâce, au moins en partie, à l'augmentation de la vitesse d'acheminement de l'humidité à travers le tissu. Les polymères peuvent être utilisés conjointement avec un liquide ou un dérivé solide mou d'un polyol cyclique ou d'un saccharide réduit, résultant de la présence de 35 à 100 % de groupes hydroxyle dans le polyol, ou de l'estérification ou de l'éthérification du saccharide.
