A composition comprises polyol-based fabric care materials, particularly esterified saccharides. The composition further comprises deposition agents, dispersing medium, and optional adjunct ingredients. The compositions of the present invention are used to treat fabrics to provide one or more of the following benefits: fabric softness, wrinkle reduction after drying, ease of ironing, in-wear shape retention, fabric elasticity, fabric tensile strength, fabric tear strength, and color protection. Various products containing the composition and methods for using the composition are also disclosed.
L'invention concerne une composition qui renferme des matériaux de traitement de tissus à base de polyol, en particulier des saccharides estérifiés. La composition comprend aussi des agents de dépôt, un milieu de dispersion et éventuellement des éléments ajoutés. On utilise ce type de composition pour traiter les tissus et leur conférer une ou plusieurs des propriétés suivantes : douceur, diminution des plis après séchage, facilité de repassage, maintien de forme à l'utilisation, élasticité, résistance à la traction, résistance au déchirement, et protection de couleur. On décrit aussi divers produits qui contiennent une telle composition et des procédés relatifs à son utilisation.
