In a fabric filter apparatus and a method of feeding. dusty gas to the dusty gas section of a fabric filter apparatus, the housing (11) of the fabric filter apparatus includes at least one substantially vertically extending duct (13) the lower end of which is in fluid communication with the dusty gas inlet (31). The duct diverts a portion of the dusty gas entering the fabric filter apparatus and delivers it to a corner of the housing (11) at a position intermediate the. level of the porting plate (40) and the bottom of the circular filter bag array (50).
