ABSTRACT A fabric and garments made therefrom capable of blocking ultraviolet radiation are made of a woven synthetic material such as nylon, which is treated with an agent such as a sulfonated benzotriazole for blocking ultraviolet radiation. The treated fabric blocks at least 93% of WA radiation and at least 99% of UVB ultraviolet radiation.
