C.3163 ABSTRACT A liquid fabric softening composition containing an aqueous base, not more than 8% of a cationic fabric softening agent, at least 0.2% of a C8-C24 fatty acid and a nonionic surfactant. The mole ratio of the cationic fabric softening agent to the nonionic surfactant is within the range from 40:1 to 1:1. The nonionic surfactant is added to give a composition which is stable to freeze thaw cycling.
