The present invention relates to a method and apparatus for tensioning fabric and particularly, but not exclusively, to a method and apparatus for tensioning a fabric supported by a frame in a marquee. A tensioner (2) is provided with means (4) for mounting the tensioner to a frame (100) of a marquee and means (6, 8, 42) for connecting said mounting means (4) to a fabric to be tensioned. The connecting means (6, 8, 42) comprises a resiliently bendable elongate member (6, 8) which is resiliently connected to said mounting means (4) and comprises means (42) for engaging said fabric so as to permit a transfer of force between said fabric and said mounting means (4). The tensioner thereby allows fabric to be tensioned in a convenient and rapid manner.
La présente invention concerne un procédé et un appareil de tensionnement de tissus et, en particulier, mais pas exclusivement, un procédé et un appareil de tensionnement d'un tissu placé sur un cadre dans une marquise. L'invention concerne un tendeur (2) équipé d'un moyen (4) servant à assembler le tendeur au cadre (100) d'une marquise, et un moyen (6, 8, 42) pour raccorder ledit moyen d'assemblage (4) au tissu à tendre. Ce moyen de raccordement (6, 8, 42) comprend un élément allongé souple pliable (6, 8) relié de façon souple au moyen d'assemblage (4); et un moyen (42) qui entre en prise avec le tissu de façon à permettre un transfert de force entre le tissu et le moyen d'assemblage (4). Le tendeur permet ainsi de tendre le tissu d'une manière pratique et rapide.
