To facilitate wireless communication device awareness of the availability of new or updated server-side applications, in response to either of a new application being made available at a server or an updated version of an application being made available at a server, a message is transmitted over a wireless connection to a set of wireless communications devices indicating that the new or updated application is available. The notification may be displayed on each of the mobile devices in the set. A device user may choose to register for the new or updated application on the basis of the notification. Notification may be performed when an application has been added to a group of applications to which access is provided as a whole. Notification at a particular wireless communications device may be conditional upon a grant of access by the device to said group of applications.
Pour faciliter la connaissance d'un dispositif de communication sans fil de la disponibilité d'applications nouvelles ou mises à jour côté serveur en réponse soit à une nouvelle application en cours de mise à disposition sur le serveur, soit à une version mise à jour d'une application en cours de mise à disposition sur un serveur, un message est transmis sur une connexion sans fil à un ensemble de dispositifs de communication sans fil indiquant que l'application nouvelle ou mise à jour est disponible. La notification peut être affichée sur chacun des dispositifs mobiles de l'ensemble. Un utilisateur de dispositif peut choisir de souscrire à l'application nouvelle ou mise à jour en fonction de la notification. La notification peut être assurée lorsqu'une application a été ajoutée à un groupe d'applications auquel l'accès est donné dans leur totalité. La notification au niveau d'un dispositif de communication sans fil particulier peut dépendre de l'accord de l'accès par le dispositif audits groupes d'applications.
