Abstract of the Disclosure The invention relates to a facility fox over- hauling and repairing the doors of horizontal coke oven batteries, A tilting frame is provided, it can be positioned upright by means of rollers, a rope and a which and moved into a horizontal position. The tilting frame receives a pivoted frame which receives the door and which comprises a channel section member forming a rectangle and which is mounted for rotation around its central axis. The angular relationship between the tilting frame and the pivoted frame can be determined by means of a perforated disc and a tube. There are two pairs of pockets in the pivoted frame; the ends of the door-raising beams are introduced into the pockets and clamped fast by means of hooks which engage over the said beams. Additional guide plates to facilitate entry of the beam ends are provided above the pockets. The tilting frame is pivotally connected to the brackets and has sprung props.
