ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A sheet metal facing for buildings. The facing comprises a plurality of facing elements, and a plurality of members for use in attaching the facing elements to a building to present a smooth facing. Each facing element has attachment portions at each end of the main planar surface of the element. Adjacent attachment portions of adjacent facing elements are nestingly retained by an attaching member fastened to the building, with the planar surfa- ces of the adjacent elements lying in the same plane.
