ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE In a facsimile apparatus having an automatic dialing function, a plurality of telephone numbers are set for each abbreviated number. When the facsimile apparatus receives an abbreviated number, it automatically dials sequentially receiving-side facsimile apparatus and/or a telephone set having corresponding telephone numbers for the abbreviated number to thereby prevent a document from being left untransmitted.
