Abstract of the Disclosure A web-carrying cassette for a facsimile recorder with a moving electrode which scans across the recording web and marks the web with graphic signals electrically applied between the moving electrode and a cooperating linear electrode is disclosed. The cassette has a tubular housing defining a web exit path including a lip extending transversely of the web. The linear electrode is polygonal in cross-section and is attached to the under- side of the cassette lip by thermal bonding to the lip which is made of thermoplastic material. A free end of the linear electrode produces trans- versely from the lip to establish electrical contact into the energising source.
