ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE: A system for preparing a composite crimped filament using a nipping type false-twisting apparatus which has two endless intercrossing belts whose working surfaces are urged against each other in their intercrossing region to nip the filament yarns therebetween. A liquid is applied to the yarns upstream of the false twister to reduce friction and heat.
