For disposing of liquid pig manure by composting same with solid carbonaceous matter. The composting material is contained in a trough, and is turned by means of an apron, which is supported in a carriage for a travelling along the trough. The apron carries moving rakes which lift and turn the material. The apron can be set to traverse both backwards and forwards. The apron is angled to a bottom-leading configuration during traversing, and the apron is capable of being lifted, to change the angle, when setting up for reversing the traverse.

L'invention concerne la mise au rebut de fumier liquide de porc par compostage de celui-ci avec une matière carbonée et solide. La matière de compostage est contenue dans une fosse et est tournée au moyen d'un tablier lequel est porté dans un chariot destiné à se déplacer le long de la fosse. Le tablier porte des raclettes mobiles lesquelles soulèvent et retournent la matière. Le tablier peut être réglé pour traverser à la fois vers l'arrière et vers l'avant. Le tablier forme un angle dans une configuration de fond vers l'avant pendant la traversée et il peut être levé afin de changer d'angle dans une disposition permettant d'inverser la traversée.
