ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE: A farm vehicle for handling and treating bales of hay is provided, comprising a wheel-mounted chassis having a rear end to which is fixed a rear container, and a front end on which is mounted a front container which can be rocked between an unrolling position, in which the two containers adjoin one another and define between them a bale-receiving space, and a bale-loading position in which the front container lies over the ground in a position to pick-up a bale of hay. Both containers are provided with endless conveyors capable of unrolling the bale of hay when in proper position. These conveyors, when in the latter position, are downwardly inclined and converge toward one another. A shredding conveyor is provided between the lower ends of the unrolling conveyors, transversely of the vehicle, to shred the hay while it is unrolled.
