The invention provides fascia for a motor vehicle having a component mounting integrally molded to the fascia for holding and securing a component therein, the component mounting includes a containing portion having a through-hole for housing the component and for allowing the component to communicate therethrough, the containing portion being integrally molded to the fascia, and fastening means for securing the component in the component mounting, wherein the component mounting is designed for mounting the component from a side opposite to the show surface of the fascia. The fascia is made from a thermoplastic material having sufficient rigidity to maintain a positioning of the component and/or a continuity of a coating applied to at least a show surface of the fascia.
L'invention concerne une planche de bord pour véhicule à moteur ayant un support de composant moulé d'une seule pièce avec la planche de bord pour tenir et fixer solidement un composant sur celle-ci; le support de composant comprend une partie réceptrice ayant un trou traversant pour loger le composant et permettre au composant de communiquer à travers lui, la partie réceptrice étant moulée d'une seule pièce avec la planche de bord, et des moyens de fixation pour fixer solidement le composant dans le support de composant, le support de composant étant conçu pour un montage du composant à partir du côté opposé à la surface visible de la planche de bord. La planche de bord est faite d'une matière thermoplastique ayant une rigidité suffisante pour conserver le positionnement du composant et/ou la continuité d~un revêtement appliqué au moins à la surface visible de la planche de bord.
