A fast aspherical zoom lens system includes a positive first lens group, a negative second lens group, a negative third lens group, and a positive fourth lens group, arranged in this order from the object side. The lens system includes at least one aspherical surface. When the zooming operation is carried out, the second and third lens groups are moved. The aspherical surface is located at a position in which the condition defined by (1) Hasp/Hmax < 0.35, wherein Hmax represents the height of the paraxial ray furthest from the optical axis at the long focal length extremity for all the lens surfaces, and Hasp represents the height of the paraxial ray to the aspherical surface at which the long focal length extremity is satisfied.

Cette invention concerne un objectif zoom asphérique rapide qui comprend un premier groupe de lentilles positives, un deuxième groupe de lentilles négatives, un troisième groupe de lentilles négatives et un quatrième groupe de lentilles positives, disposés dans cet ordre à partir de l'objet visé. L'objectif comporte au moins une surface asphérique. La variation de focale s'obtient par déplacement des deuxième et troisième groupes de lentilles. La surface asphérique est située à une position réalisant la condition (1) Hasp/Hmax < 0,35, où Hmax représente la hauteur du rayon paraxial au point le plus éloigné de l'axe optique à l'extrémité grande distance focale pour l'ensemble des surfaces de lentille et Hasp, la hauteur du rayon paraxial par rapport à la surface asphérique à laquelle la condition à l'extrémité grande distance focale est réalisée.
