A B S T R A C T The present invention relates to a method for the preparation of liquid antiperspirant and deodorant compo- sitions in a non-aqueous to a low level aqueous vehicle. This method comprises mixing together at high speed and shear 20% to 60% by weight of an aluminum salt and 0.1% to 5% by weight ? of Bentone gel, 0.5% to 5% by weight of sorbitan monooleate, 1% to 10% by weight of a metalic stearate and 1% to 5% by weight of silicone dioxide in a vehicle comprising poly- dimethylcyclosiloxane alone or in admixture with alcohol and water until a homogeneous suspension is obtained, in which the polydimethylcyclosiloxane may vary between 5% to 80% by weight, the isopropanol between 0% to 40% by weight, the ethanol between 0% to 20% by weight, the water between 0% to 10% by weight, and the isopropylmyristate between 1% to 20% by weight. The active ingredients in resulting product remain in suspension over extended period of time. When it is applied over the body area, it exhibits remarkably fast-drying properties.
