A fastener assembly, such as a nail assembly, includes a row of fasteners held together and maintained in position by an extrudable thermoplastic adhesive composition containing a particulate filler, an extrudable thermoplastic resin reacted with a polar compound, and optional quantities of an additional thermoplastic resin. The adhesive composition provides the fastener assembly with increased rigidity, reduced bending and buckling, and reduced shearing requirements for separating an individual fastener from the row. The invention also includes an adhesive composition useful in the fastener assembly.
Cette invention concerne des fixations assemblées en bande, des clous par exemple, la bande étant constituée d'une rangée de fixations maintenues ensemble par une composition adhésive thermoplastique extrudable renfermant un filler particulaire, d'une résine thermoplastique extrudable mis en contact avec un composé polaire et d'une quantité additionnelle facultative de résine thermoplastique. La composition adhésive confère à la bande d'assemblage une rigidité accrue, donc flexion et gondolage réduits, sans exiger un gros effort d'arrachage pour séparer une fixation de la bande. L'invention concerne également une composition adhésive utile pour la fabrication de la bande d'assemblage.
