A threaded fastener assembly which includes a threaded fastener over which is securely held an axially movable washer with a resilient grommet fitted thereover. The threaded fastener assembly is adapted to be preassembled in a first apertured work piece such as a rocker arm cover which is to be mounted on a second apertured work piece such as an engine block. The threaded fastener assembly is retainable within the first apertured work piece while holding the fastener in a freely axially movable configuration which permits the fastener to be moved into an elevated position to prevent the fastener from projecting through the bottom surface of the work piece, thus preventing interference with other surfaces and the structure provides seals for preventing fluid from leaking through the apertures.

L'invention concerne un ensemble de fixation fileté comprenant une fixation filetée sur laquelle est assujettie une rondelle mobile dans le plan axial sur laquelle s'ajuste un oeillet résilient. L'ensemble de fixation se prête à un préassemblage dans une première pièce perforée, comme un couvre-culbuteur, qui doit être montée sur une deuxième pièce perforée, comme un bloc moteur. L'ensemble de fixation peut être retenu dans la première pièce perforée en maintenant la fixation de manière qu'elle puisse se déplacer librement dans le plan axial, ce qui permet de relever la fixation pour empêcher qu'elle ne traverse la surface inférieure de la pièce et qu'elle ne vienne en contact avec d'autres surfaces. La structure comprend des joints empêchant les fuites de fluide par les perforations.
