- 6 - FASTENER FOR SHOE ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE The fastener comprises two strap systems which are secured respectively on each lateral side of the upper of the shoe in the region of the instep. One of the systems comprises a strap having a free end portion which is passed through a metal loop. The free end portion of one of the straps of the other strap system is passed through the metal loop and is provided with apertures in which is insertable the head of a button or stud incorporated in the part of the first-mentioned strap fixed to the upper in the region of the instep. The other strap system comprises two independent straps which are interconnected by a conventional buckle and tongue arrangement.
