A fastener element (20) including a barrel portion (22), a first radial flange portion (26) integral and coaxially aligned with the barrel portion and a second radial flange portion (32) having a diameter greater than the first radial flange portion coaxially aligned with the first radial flange portion including an annular face (28) having circumferentially spaced radial ribs (38) and a method of installing the fastener element which includes forming an opening (56) in a panel (54) which receives the barrel and first radial flange portions, wherein the panel is deformed radially inwardly against the first radial flange portion and the first radial flange portion is preferably deformed radially outwardly forming a secure fastener and panel assembly.
L'invention porte sur un élément de fixation comprenant une partie de cylindre, une première partie de bride radiale alignée de manière intégrale et coaxiale avec la partie de cylindre et une seconde partie de bride radiale présentant un diamètre supérieur à celui de la première partie de bride radiale alignée dans le sens coaxial avec la première partie de bride radiale dotée d'une face annulaire présentant des nervures radiales. L'invention concerne aussi un procédé d'installation de l'élément de fixation qui consiste à former une ouverture dans un panneau qui reçoit le cylindre et la première partie de bride radiale, le panneau étant déformé dans le sens radial vers l'intérieur contre la première partie de bride radiale et la première partie de bride radiale est déformée, de préférence, dans le sens radial vers l'extérieur afin de former un ensemble fixation et panneau sécurisé.
