A fastener (32,132) for securing a binder ring metal (18) to a binder cover (12). The fastener has a hollow, cylindrical, deformable body (34) with one end (36) being insertable through an opening (26,28) in the ring metal and deformable thereabout to affix the fastener to said the metal.
