The fastening assembly is used to pivotally attach an end of a cable to a clasping device, such as a hook. The assembly comprises an enlarged tip which is crimped on the cable and inserted in a bushing having a channel for this purpose. The bushing is provided with a recess at one end, the tip being sized and shaped to cooperate with this recess to hold the cable in the bushing while allowing it to rotate therein. The bushing itself is inserted in a bore in the base of the clasping device, and held therein by retaining pins. The fastening assembly allows the cable to freely rotate on itself and to secure it to the clasping device without having to use a cable loop.
Cette invention concerne un dispositif permettant de fixer un câble à une attache, par exemple un crochet, de manière à permettre la rotation du câble sur l'attache. Ce dispositif comprend un élément à tête élargie serti sur l'extrémité du câble et inséré dans un manchon dont la forme et les dimensions de l'alésage correspondent à celles de l'élément à tête élargie, de manière que celui-ci retienne le câble dans le manchon tout en lui permettant de tourner. Le manchon est inséré dans un logement à la base de l'attache, où il est retenu par des tiges de fixation. Le dispositif de cette invention permet de fixer un câble à une attache de manière qu'il puisse tourner librement par rapport à cette dernière, et ce, sans avoir à pratiquer une boucle dans le câble.
