ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A device for adjustably fastening a door or window frame or the like to a fixed member. The device has a screw provided with a thread for engagement with the fixed element and a sleeve provided with a thread for engagement with the frame part. The screw has a head, and sleeve is displaceably dis- posed on the screw between the head and a shoulder. The sides of the sleeve and the screw head facing towards each other are provided with projections and recesses, respectively, or vice versa, which engage with each other when the screw head is turned in one direction so that the sleeve follows the screw head and can be screwed into the frame portion. When the screw head is turned in the opposite direction, the projections of the sleeve and the recesses of the screw heads glide over sloping surfaces out of mutual engagement, so that the screw means may be freely turned in relation to the sleeve.
