ABSTRACT A fastening element for packing sheets is disclosed, which comprises a body having a lateral surface; a head plate having a diameter constituting the largest diameter of the fastening element and an axis of symmetry passing centrally through the body, the head plate being situated at an end of the body; and a thread provided on the lateral surface. The thread may extend eccentrically with respect to the axis of symmetry of the body. The thread terminates in a point situated at an end of the body remote from the head plate, and it may be located externally of the axis of symmetry. The head plate includes means situated centrally with respect thereto and configured for receiving a tool for turning the fastening element. - 1 -
