A fastener system for interchangeable patch displays on athletic shoes includes a first member on a shoe with projecting studs with caps separable from a second member and its cavities with annular bulges on a patch opposite to the first member studs. The patch with cavities can be pressed onto the shoe layer with studs for ease in application of a trademark, logo or other design or ornamental display of a patch on athletic shoes or other article of clothing.
