"We have designed a tool for installing electric fence screw-eye insulators or ring type screw-eyes on wooden posts, boards, trees, or other appropriate materials. The tool is made from elongated round stock, either of metal or some composition materials strong enough to withstand the screwing action of an electric or portable hand-held drill. One end is machined to fit into the chuck on the drill, and the other end is deeply grooved to hold the ring portion of the screw-eye or ring insulator, which is secured within the groove by a spring steel compression holder. The drill rotates the metal threaded screw part of the fastening device into(out of) the wooden fence post or other application. When the ring portion reaches the proper depth into the post, the operator stops the drill and pulls it away from the screw-eye or ring insulator, leaving the fastening device securely in place,"
