A fat-based table spread product comprises from 50% to 85% of an edible oil fat system having spreadability at temperatures from 4°C up to 25; and 15% to 50% of a fruit system, which fruit system is fruit-based jam or marmalade having a soft and even consistency, at least the sugar and pectin which have been derived from the fruit from which the jam or marmalade has been made, particles or pieces of the fruit from which the jam or marmalade has been made, and color and flavor which have been derived from the fruit from which the jam or marmalade has been made.
