ABSTRACT Novel compositions of matter consisting of fatty halo alkanoate quaternaries of dialkylaminopropyl- amides have been found to be excellent emollients having surprisingly good anti-tangle and anti-static properties in hair preparations. They are prepared by reacting the dialkylaminopropylamides with fatty halo alkanoate esters.
