The invention provides a zeolite of the faujasite structure which has a unit cell size in the range of from 24.40 to 24.50 A; a bulk silica to alumina ratio (SAR) in th range of from 5 to 10; and an alkali metal content of less than 0.15 wt%. Such zeolites have been found to have a very useful naphtha selectivity in hydrocracking, particularly a selectivity to heavy naphtha. A preparation process for the zeolite, hydrocracking catalyst composition comprising the zeolite and its use in hydrocracking are also provided.
L'invention concerne une zéolite de structure de type faujasite qui présente une taille de cellule unitaire comprise entre 24,40 et 24,50 Å ; un rapport silice-alumine en vrac (SAR) compris entre 5 et 10 ; ainsi qu'une teneur en métaux alcalins inférieure à 0,15 % en poids. Lesdites zéolites se sont révélées présenter une sélectivité pour le naphta très utile pour l'hydrocraquage, en particulier une sélectivité pour le naphta lourd. L'invention concerne également un procédé de préparation de la zéolite, une composition de catalyseur d'hydrocraquage comprenant la zéolite ainsi que son utilisation dans l'hydrocraquage.
