The invention relates to a transmission system for the transmission of communications data from at least one data source (1) to a plurality of terminals (2.1, 2.2, ..., 2.n) in a passenger aircraft via a distributor (3b) that is connected to the data source (1). The terminals are connected in series to a chain of terminals (6), via an input port (4) and an output port (5). According to the invention, in order to make the transmission system fault-tolerant, the first (2.1) and the last (2.n) terminals in the chain (6) are directly interconnected with a shunt connection (7) in such a way that the communications data in the chain of terminals (6) is transmitted from terminal to terminal, between the first (2.1) and the last terminals (2.n) of the chain if all the terminals are interconnected, and, if the connection between the terminals in the terminal chain (6) is interrupted, the communications data from the first terminal (2.1) of the chain of terminals is transmitted in the terminal chain up to the inactive terminal (9) and the communications data from the last terminal (2.n) is transmitted in the terminal chain up to the inactive terminal (9).
L'invention concerne un système de transmission servant à transmettre des données de communication, d'au moins une source de données (1) vers plusieurs terminaux (2.1, 2.2, ..., 2.n) dans un avion de passagers, par l'intermédiaire d'un distributeur (3b) qui est relié à la source de données (1). Selon l'invention, les terminaux sont montés en série de manière à former une chaîne de terminaux (6), respectivement par l'intermédiaire d'un point d'entrée (4) et d'un point de sortie (5). L'objectif de cette invention est de créer un système de transmission tolérant aux erreurs. A cet effet, le premier (2.1) et le dernier (2.n) terminal de la chaîne (6) sont directement interconnectés par une liaison de dérivation (7), de manière que les données de communication entre le premier terminal (2.1) et le dernier terminal (2.n) de la chaîne de terminaux (6) puissent être transmises d'un terminal à un autre de la chaîne, lorsque tous les terminaux sont reliés les uns aux autres, et de façon que les données de communication puissent être transmises du premier terminal (2.1) de la chaîne de terminaux au terminal inactif (9), et du dernier terminal (2.n) de la chaîne de terminaux au terminal inactif (9), lorsque la liaison entre les terminaux de la chaîne de terminaux (6) est interrompue.
