Methods are described for assessing the relative susceptibility of human patients to autoimmune diseases, bacterial and viral infections and tumors wherein the methods comprise identifying Fc.gamma.RIIIA allelic patterns in human patients. Figure 1 is a graphic representation of the results of a flow cytometry experiment comparing the binding of IgG to blood cells from two patients having different Fc.gamma.RIIIA allelic patterns.

Les méthodes consistent à identifier les motifs alléliques Fc.gamma.RIIIA chez des patients. La figure 1 est une représentation graphique des résultats d'une expérience de cytométrine d'écoulement comparant la liaison de IgG sur les cellules sanguines de deux patients ayant des configurations alléliques Fc.gamma.RIIIA différentes.
