A polymer feed device for feeding a thermoplastic polymer to a screw extruder or the like, the feed device includes a shaft (22) and an auger (24) rotatable about the shaft (22), the auger (24) having a clearance from the shaft (22) such that when rotated about the shaft (22) it wipes polymer therefrom and feeds the polymer to the extruder or the like. Extruder systems and polymer recycling systems including such devices are also described. Variable density polymer waste can be recycled using such systems. Such systems also provide greater flexibility when processing virgin polymer granules.
Un dispositif d'alimentation en polymères, qui permet d'alimenter en un polymère thermoplastique une extrudeuse à vis ou analogue, comprend un arbre (22) et une tarière (24) tournant autour de cet arbre (22) et dont elle est séparée par un espace, de façon que quand elle tourne autour de l'arbre (22), elle racle le polymère qui s'y trouve et alimente en polymère l'extrudeuse ou analogue. On décrit aussi des systèmes d'extrudeuses et des systèmes de recyclage de polymères qui comportent de tels dispositifs. Ces systèmes permettent de recycler des déchets de polymères à densité variable, et ils procurent plus de souplesse lors du traitement de granulés polymères vierges.
