- 25 - ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE In a feed forward type distortion correction circuit which detects a nonlinear distortion component of a main amplifier, amplifies the distortion component by an auxiliary amplifier and injects the amplified distortion component into the main amplifier output to cancel the distortion component to thereby reduce the nonlinear distortion component, a predistortion correction circuit is provided at the input side of the main amplifier so as to reduce the distortion component which is produced by the main amplifier, whereby the maximum output of the auxiliary amplifier can be set to a value smaller than the maximum output of the main amplifier.
