A feedback controlled drug delivery system includes automated blood sampling and analysis and dosing of the patient. Automated sampling is performed by direct analysis of patient blood, such as for measurement of its coagulation state. A novel manifold includes a fluid input port, a patient port adapted to output fluid and to receive a blood sample from the patient, and a fluid pathway connecting the fluid port and the patient port. A sample line is connected to the fluid pathway to provide the sample to an analyzer. In one aspect of this invention, the sample is forced through the sample line by isolating the patient port, such as by a valve, and non-drug fluid is forced into the manifold causing the blood to cross through the sample line. In another embodiment, an integrated assembly includes an integrated peristaltic pump, valve assembly, selectively movable actuator and integrated waste container. In one aspect, the peristaltic pump permits retraction of the rollers away from the inner circumference of the pump, so as to reduce deformation of the peri-pump tube and to permit sterilization.
L'invention concerne un système d'administration des médicaments à rétrocontrôle, qui permet le prélèvement, l'analyse de sang ainsi que le dosage automatisés. Le prélèvement automatisé s'effectue par analyse directe du sang du patient, entre autre pour mesurer la coagulation sanguine. Le nouveau collecteur décrit dans l'invention comprend une entrée des liquides, une sortie patient conçue pour administrer des liquides aux patients et recevoir un échantillon de sang prélevé sur le patient, ainsi qu'un passage pour liquides reliant l'entrée à la sortie du patient. Une ligne à échantillon reliée à ce passage achemine l'échantillon vers un appareil d'analyse. Dans un mode de réalisation, l'échantillon est envoyé dans la ligne à échantillon, selon un procédé qui consiste à isoler la sortie patient, par exemple à l'aide d'une valve, et à introduire un liquide non médicamenteux dans le collecteur de sorte que le sang aille bien dans ladite ligne. Dans un autre mode de réalisation, un ensemble intégré comporte une pompe péristaltique intégrée, un ensemble valve, un actionneur réglable et un récipient intégré pour résidus. Selon un aspect de l'invention, la pompe péristaltique permet d'obtenir la rétraction des galets par rapport à la circonférence interne de la pompe, en vue de réduire la déformation du tube à la périphérie de la pompe et de permettre la stérilisation.
