ABSTRACT OF THE INVENTION The image produced by an optical display apparatus is modified by an optical feedback arrangement whereby at least a portion of the image is directed through the feedback arrangement to the input of the display apparatus. By selectively controlling the feedback signal, the image characteristics of the display apparatus are manipulated for the desired results.
