Feedback systems and methods enhance obstructive and other obesity treatments by presenting feedback regarding pa-tients' actual eating and/or exercise habits. An ingestion restricting im-plant body can be deployed along the gastrointestinal tract. In some embodiments, ingestion alters the implant body, which, in turn, gener-ates signals. The generated signals can be used to inhibit unhealthy in-gestion by the patient. In other embodiments, the implant body can be altered by signals so as to selectable change the restriction imposed on the gastrointestinal tract, optionally in response to ingestion events, an eating schedule, or the like. The implant body may comprise a gastric band or an intragastric balloon. Sensor signals may be processed to identify ingestion and/or characterize ingestion of a solid or a liquid, and the results may be displayed on a screen for a patient or coach to view.
L'invention concerne des systèmes et des procédés comportant un retour d'informations qui permettent d'améliorer des traitements obstructifs et d'autres traitements contre l'obésité, par la présentation de retours d'informations relatives aux habitudes réelles d'exercice physique et/ou alimentaires des patients. Un corps d'implant limitant l'ingestion peut être déployé dans le tractus gastro-intestinal. Dans certaines formes de réalisation, l'ingestion modifie le corps d'implant, ce dernier produisant à son tour des signaux. Les signaux produits peuvent être utilisés pour inhiber une ingestion malsaine par le patient. Dans d'autres formes de réalisation, le corps d'implant peut être modifié par des signaux afin de modifier de manière sélectionnable la limitation imposée sur le tractus gastro-intestinal, éventuellement en réponse à des ingestions, à un programme d'alimentation ou analogue. Le corps d'implant comprend une bande gastrique ou un ballonnet intragastrique. Des signaux de capteur sont traités pour identifier l'ingestion et/ou caractériser l'ingestion d'une matière solide ou liquide, et les résultats sont affichés sur un écran à l'intention du patient ou d'un accompagnateur.
