ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE The present invention concerns a self-aligning coupling structure for releasably connecting a rear end of a feeder assembly to a frame of an agricultural harvester such as a combine and the like. The self-aligning coupling structure includes a pair of releasable couplings laterally spaced from each other on opposite sides of the feeder assembly and combine frame. Each releasable coupling includes first and second apertured coupling elements. One of the apertured coupling elements is provided on and extends from the combine frame while the other apertured coupling element is provided on and extends from a housing of the feeder assembly. The coupling elements each have complementary guide surfaces provided thereon. When the feeder assembly is to be coupled to the combine frame, the guide surfaces on the respective coupling elements of each releasable coupling cooperate with each other to self- align both horizontally and vertically the apertures in the coupling elements relative to each other thereby facilitating the passage of a pivot pin through the aligned apertures so as to releasably connect the feeder assembly to the combine frame for pivotal movement about the axis of the pivot pins.
Cette invention concerne un système d'attelage à alignement automatique conçu pour rattacher de façon non permanente l'extrémité arrière d'un ensemble d'alimentation au cadre d'une moissonneuse de type moissonneuse-batteuse par exemple. Ce sytème d'attelage est constitué de deux attelages non permanents, latéralement espacés l'un de l'autre et fixés sur les côtés opposés de l'ensemble d'alimentation et du cadre de la moissonneuse-batteuse. Chacun de ces attelages est constitué d'un premier et d'un deuxième éléments d'attelage perforés. L'un d'entre eux est fixé sur le cadre de la moissonneuse-batteuse, tandis que l'autre est installé dans un logement de l'ensemble d'alimentation. Ces éléments d'attelage présentent chacun des surfaces de guidage complémentaires. Lorsqu'on rattache l'ensemble d'alimentation au cadre de la moissonneuse-batteuse, les surfaces de guidage de chacun des éléments d'attelage coopèrent entre elles pour que les ouvertures horizontales et verticales des éléments d'attelage soient alignées les unes en face des autres, ce qui facilite l'introduction d'une broche de pivot dans les ouvertures alignées afin de rattacher de façon non permanente l'ensemble d'alimentation au cadre de la moissonneuse-batteuse tout en lui permettant de pivoter sur l'axe des broches de pivot.
