ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE The present invention provides an agricultural baler including a bale case, a feed platform adjacent the bale case, a first feeder mechanism which feeds crop material across the feed platform toward the bale case, and a second feeder mechanism which feeds crop material from the feed platform into the bale case. The second feeder mechanism includes feeder elements rotatable about a first axis and about a second axis offset relative to the first axis such that the feeder elements move in a predetermined path which is generally "apple shaped". A drive mechanism connected to the feeder elements causes them to rotate around the first axis in one direction while they are being rotated around the second axis in the opposite direction. This invention provides for an improvement over the balers known in the prior art, as it prevents undesirable vibration in the baler by the even loading of a bale case, obtained with the particular path of movement provided. As well the tendency to overload the baler is substantially reduced by the improvements in the present invention. A relatively low profile baler is obtained according to this invention, unlike balers known in the prior art, which because of the type of second feeder mechanism used therein, usually result in a baler of excessive overall height.
