ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A self-propelled vehicle with a top-mounted gun is provided with a magazine at the rear of the chassis. The gun is mounted so that it can be aimed in elevation and/or traverse in relation to the chassis. A round carrying part which is arranged in front of the magazine and under the rear of the gun forms part of apparatus for feeding ammunition from the magazine to a ramming position at the gun. The apparatus also includes a long- itudinal displacement mechanism arranged in the magazine for the respective rounds. When the respective rounds are received from the magazine, the round carrying part is set with its longitud- inal direction coinciding with the longitudinal direction of the respective round. The round carrying part is mounted on a cylinder and piston unit which raises the round carrying part from the feeding position in front of the magazine to the ramming position. Guiding surfaces are arranged to move the round carry- ; ing part automatically to match the prevailing position of the gun in elevation and/or traverse.
