ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE The invention relates a feeding means for feeding solid fuel from a storage silo or the like to a solid fuel- using heating boiler. The feeding means comprises a piston means adapted to carry out a reciprocating motion within a tube means which via an aperture communicates with the solid fuel storage silo or the like, and which communicates via an opposite end with the heating boiler. To releasably feed the solid fuel in front of the piston means, in the feeding means there has been provided in the lower part of the storage silo or the like, a rotatably disposed vane means.
