A feet-propelled water vehicle (10) including a buoyant body (14) having a user-supporting platform (60) attached to a rigid frame (78,80) secured to a pair of pontoons (88). A pair of propelling paddles (20,22) is attached to the rigid frame (78,80). Each propelling paddle (20,22) defines a corresponding effectuating section (24) and a corresponding blade section (26). The supporting platform (60) defines flexible foot contacting regions (62) for transferring the weight shifting action of an intended user to the effectuating sections (24) of a corresponding propelling paddle (20,22). Each effectuating section (24) allows the transformation of the force generated by the foot of the user into a corresponding pivotal movement of the paddle (20,22) relative to the frame (78,80). The blade section (26) attached to the effectuating section (24) allows transformation of the pivotal movement of the paddle (20,22) into a vehicle propelling force for propelling the vehicle (20) across a body of water (12).

L'invention concerne un véhicule aquatique (10) à mécanisme de propulsion actionné par les pieds, constitué d'un corps flottant (14) comprenant une plate-forme d'appui (60) pour utilisateur montée sur une structure rigide (78, 80) fixée à une paire de flotteurs (88) et une paire de pagaies de propulsion (20, 22) reliées à la structure rigide (78, 80). Chaque pagaie de propulsion (20, 22) comporte une section de commande (24) correspondante et une section de pale (26) correspondante.
